Disability Scoop’s article on this @http://www.disabilityscoop.com/2014/03/21/harsh-discipline-disabilities/19218/ gives staggering statistics.  The article goes on to talk about how those lableled with a disability are out of proportion being punished with restraints and seclusion.

Instead of reread the article for you.  I want to give it to you on a grand scale of what I call the poem when dealing with one of the most needy and vulnerable groups of society!

OUTRAGE

              Department of Education

Can find data Specifiy

Many variations

Going from phyisical to meta.

Knows the keys

To Identify

In a problem.

Then play make it go away.

Yet, with Response to Intervention

High Numbers of abuse and fuss,

Skyrocketing in percentages.

No one knows of Intensive Intervention!

Why no saviors?

Society cares less if

Invisible disabled are

Out of sight and mind! Give them feeling sensability.

Why not Care?

Stupidity or Yup-ability?

Which you would proclaim.

NOW IT IS TIME FOR THE END!

THIS is OUTRAGE!  because the Department of Education’s starts showed the disabled student population as 12%. However of the percent that are restrained or secluded; the rate is 75% and 58% respectively.  That is so sad for a society that claims to take care of the most vulnerable!
